Facial Rejuvenation

These patients have generously allowed us to share their photos with you.
We hope you enjoy this opportunity to see the many possibilities of plastic surgery.

Patient 1: This is a 61-year-old woman who desired facial rejuvenation. She was referred by another physician in explained to her primary concerns related to the excess skin and fat around her lower face and neck, as well as the area around her eyes. Her preoperative photographs demonstrate a slightly lower eyebrow position along with excess skin and fat around the eyes and below her chin. She also has early jowling along the jawline. A minimally invasive brow left along with an upper and lower lid blepharoplasty was performed to rejuvenate the area around the eyes. A lower face and neck lift was performed along with liposuction to smooth the neck and jawline. Her photographs are taken one year after surgery.

Patient 2: Women in their late 50’s and early 60’s often wish to have facial rejuvenation beyond skin care, Botox and fillers. This patient wished to improve the appearance of her jawline and correct the drooping skin below her neck. Dr. Wey performed a facelift. Our approach hides scars around the ear and into the hairline and tightens the cheeks and neck, while still maintaining a natural appearance.

Patient 3: This is a 55-year-old woman who was interested in facial rejuvenation. We learned that she was most concerned about the age and in her lower face and neck. During our consultation I had recommended treatment of the lower face and neck as well as the area around the eyes. Dr. Nini would have liked to have performed in upper and lower lid blepharoplasty as well as stem cell fat injection to to soften the groove beneath the lower eyelid. Like so many patients, who have never had plastic surgery, she decided to treat only her lower face and neck. These photos were taken 6 months after her surgery. Her improvement is natural and just what she wanted.

Patient 4: This is 42-year-old woman who was interested in eyelid rejuvenation. She was concerned about the excess asymmetric skin on the upper lids as well as the circles and puffiness affecting her lower lids. Dr. Nini performed a upper and lower blepharoplasty with fat grafting under a brief light general anesthetic. Her photos were taken 5 months after surgery.

Patient 5: This is a 57-year-old woman who was referred to us for a brow lift. Her concerns were chiefly the aging appearance around her eyes. Although Dr. Nini felt that she could benefit from a gentle brow lift she had requested that we do the best we can with an upper and lower blepharoplasty alone. Her postoperative photographs were at taken 7 months.

Patient 6: This 64-year-old woman who requested improvement of the area around her eyes. Specifically, the bulging in the lower lids and to a lesser extent, a small amount of excess upper eyelid skin which interfered with her application of eye shadow. The puffiness in the lower lids represents bulging of peri-orbital fat. Peri-orbital fat provides the cushion between the eyeball and the bony eye socket. Dr. Nini performed a lower lid blepharoplasty, sculpting the bulging fat carefully to create a new natural contour. At the same time, a pinch of excess skin is often removed. Her postoperative photos are taken 6 months later.

Patient 7: This is a 28 year old female who did not like the shape of her nose. She felt that her nose was ill defined. She also has some nasal deviation to the right as well as a septal deviation. She wanted her nose to be smaller overall as well. Dr. Nini performed a rhinoplasty with septoplasty and cartilage graft.

Patient 8: This 26 year old woman desired a rhinoplasty. Her primary concern related to the curvature of the dorsum of the nose. She did not want a drastic change. Dr. Nini suggested an open rhinoplasty technique which he feels provides the best control of the outcome. Her photographs are taken one year after the procedure.

Patient 9: This is an 18-year-old woman who desired a rhinoplasty. She wanted as natural an appearance as possible. Her tip was slightly bulbous and she had a mild dorsal hump. Dr. Nini performed an open rhinoplasty with dorsal reduction and cartilage sparing tip modification. This type of rhinoplasty avoids the pinched nasal tip that is so commonly seen with poor “nose jobs”.

Patient 10: This is a 21 year old who is interested in changing the shape of the tip of her nose. She feels it is to round and bulbous. An external tip rhinoplasty with cartilage modification was performed. Photos at 4 months.

Patient 11: This 25-year-old man requested a cosmetic rhinoplasty. He had no history of trauma or breathing abnormalities. He simply wanted improvement in the dorsum of his nose and the tip. Dr. Nini performed an open rhinoplasty with dorsal reduction and tip refinement using very small caliber permanent sutures. Internal suturing techniques are used to secure all of the various cartilage structures in very precise positions. This technique helps to reduce the risk of late changes which can occur with rhinoplasty. His photos were taken at 8 months.

Patient 12: This 47-year-old woman was undergoing surgery for breast implant removal and mastopexy. She asked whether or not liposuction could be performed beneath her chin at the same time. It is understandable that patients prefer to combine procedures from time to time and this was a perfect fit. Using power assisted liposuction, with a small 2 mm cannula, Dr. Nini was able to contour the upper neck region. Her postoperative photographs demonstrate the improvement beneath the chin and along the jawline. Her photographs were taken 3 months after surgery.
