JUVÉDERM® Filler in New Jersey

Juvéderm® is a semi-permanent injectable filler used for treating facial wrinkles and plumping up lips. Because Juvéderm® is water-soluble, it fills wrinkles and depressions in the skin with a natural substance while slowly being reabsorbed by the body.

Juvéderm® is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid – a naturally-occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Our cosmetic surgeons at Plastic Surgery Arts of New Jersey inject Juvéderm® under the skin to provide a smooth, natural look and feel. In addition, Juvéderm® injectable gel is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is proven to be safe and effective for persons of color.

Juvéderm Voluma

Juvéderm Voluma is a remarkable injectable gel that provides an instant voluminous lift to cheeks. VOLUMA™ is injected into the cheek area and results in a fuller, more youthful appearance. This injectable gives a subtle lift and smoothes out moderate to severe wrinkles around the nose and mouth area while adding healthy, plump volume to the cheek.

Common JUVÉDERM® Questions

Juvederm and Restylane are both FDA-approved injectable fillers that help reduce wrinkles by adding volume. However, Juvederm typically lasts from 9-12 months, whereas Restylane only lasts about 6 months; as a result, Juvederm is more cost effective for the patient. In terms of consistency, Juvederm is a much smoother filler than Restylane, making it better suited for filling finer lines or lip augmentation.

As with any medical procedure there are risks and complications involved in the injection of Juvederm. However, Juvederm side effects are mostly mild to moderate, and last only a short duration. Some temporary side effects can include firmness, bruising, swelling, and redness.
